Therapist in Midtown Sacramento
What We Specialize In
Our Midtown Sacramento therapists work with adults, teens, and young adults dealing with:
Anxiety -- from everyday overthinking and people-pleasing to panic attacks, social anxiety, and high-functioning anxiety that nobody else can see.
Trauma -- complex trauma, PTSD, childhood experiences, and the ways the past shows up in your current life and relationships.
Childhood emotional neglect (CEN) -- one of our deepest specialties. CEN is the kind of wound that comes not from what happened, but from what did not. Many clients describe finally having language for something they have carried their whole lives.
Grief counseling -- for loss of all kinds, including death, relationship endings, friendship grief, and the grief that does not have an obvious name.
Depression -- including the flat, going-through-the-motions kind that looks fine from the outside.
ADHD -- especially ADHD in adults and women, where it is frequently missed or misunderstood for years.
People-pleasing and perfectionism -- the cost of constantly contorting yourself to avoid conflict, disapproval, or letting anyone down.
Therapy for highly sensitive people (HSPs) -- one of our core specialties. We understand the depth of the HSP experience and work with sensitivity as a strength, not a liability.
LGBTQ+ affirming therapy -- a genuinely affirming space with therapists who have both clinical training and real understanding of LGBTQ+ mental health.
Teen therapy -- in-person support for Sacramento teens navigating anxiety, identity, school stress, depression, and family dynamics.
Young adult therapy -- for college students and young adults in their 20s and early 30s who are dealing with transitions, identity, burnout, and relationship challenges.
Brainspotting -- a body-based therapy available at our Midtown office for trauma, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm.
Walk and talk therapy -- take your session outside. We use the parks and paths near our Midtown Sacramento office for walking sessions.
Expressive arts therapy -- using art, movement, and creative expression as part of the therapeutic process.
Serving Midtown and Greater Sacramento
From our Capitol Ave office, we see clients from across Sacramento, including Midtown, East Sacramento, Land Park, Curtis Park, Downtown, Arden-Arcade, and North Sacramento. We are also a short drive from West Sacramento, Natomas, Elk Grove, and Davis.
Online therapy is available for anyone in California who cannot make it in person or prefers to meet from home.
