MY APPROACH for THERAPY
We all face hard emotions and messy seasons at one point or another, but so often we go through them quietly, or even alone. Maybe it’s because we don’t want to burden anyone, we’re afraid of being judged or misunderstood, or we’ve bought into the idea that “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is the gold standard for strength. But all that silent struggling tends to make the pain louder, not quieter.
In my own healing, what made a difference wasn’t a magical solution but rather being met with compassion, honesty, and steady support from someone who really saw me. That experience shaped how I show up as a therapist. I believe that real growth starts in a space where you can feel genuinely seen and heard, without pressure to have it all figured out. Therapy with me is a space where your full, human self is welcome—including the imperfect, uncertain, and unfolding parts of your story.
My approach is grounded in person-centered, mindfulness and compassion based, and strengths-focused work. That said, I don’t believe therapy is a one-size-fits-all. Your background, your pace, your goals — that’s what shapes the work we do. I’ll bring clinical tools and a supportive presence; you bring your story (even if it’s hesitant or tangled). You’re in the driver’s seat and I’m here to support, help navigate, and occasionally share a laugh and engage in the beautiful, messy work that is being human—together.
my specialties include:
Young adult (20s and 30s) and adult counseling
Anxiety management (generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attack support)
Coping with depression (chronic and situational stressors)
Individuals with self-esteem challenges (self-worth, self-value, low-confidence)
Trauma survivors (abuse, neglect, death of a loved one, upsetting life events)
Identity development (navigating life transitions, values, and sense of self)

More about me
In my personal life, I’m known for being an animal lover through and through with dogs, cats, and bunnies all part of my home. I’m actively involved in the dog show and sport world, notably scent detection and agility, and spend much of my free time training. I love jumping on a plane for a new adventure, but I equally look forward to familiarity and the comfort of routine. This often looks like revisiting my favorite local spots — whether that’s a go-to restaurant or heading back to my favorite trail with my four-legged buddies. And while I do enjoy being on the move, I still fully support the magic of a midday nap.
