my approach: creative collaboration

You, as a person, face many hurdles and bumps in the road. These struggles can feel overwhelming to you, but seem like they’re being misunderstood by others. You may think it's all in your head or that others feel that it’s not a big deal so you should too. You may see yourself as an overthinker or a worrier. You may have learned that the challenges you face are not as important when compared to what others are facing. You feel overlooked, overwhelmed, and tired from facing the struggles that you do. It’s okay to feel this way and you deserve to be able to address those struggles in the way that feels right to you as they are real struggles that are yours, not someone else’s.

I strive to understand your challenges and work with you to find solutions or adaptations that work for you. I want to help you work towards your goals, and make sure each step you take is recognized and celebrated. Breaking things down into chunks helps to make problems that may feel overwhelming more

manageable. I am good at creative solutions and will always be up for looking into possible solutions even if they are considered odd. The work can be hard, but we will move through it as a team!

I will work with you in the most non-judgmental and honest way possible. I always want you to feel heard and will check in to make sure I am understanding you. I may push against areas that make you uncomfortable to help you move towards your goals, but I will not cross boundaries or try to intentionally make you uncomfortable. I am still learning and will always work to better myself and really appreciate feedback so that I can keep doing my best. I want to meet you where you’re at and work with you using collaboration and honest communication. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you as you reach for your goals.

EDUCATION & experience

I received BAs in Psychology and Law and Justice from Central Washington University in 2021. I am currently working toward both my MA and my PsyD in clinical psychology through California Northstate University. My background in psychology and law and justice allows me to see the areas of need and areas where the law and justice system can falter in how it treats people or even how it can have difficulties protecting people.

I am A psy.D student intern in Sacramento

I am a PsyD Student Intern, supervised by Danielle Kardum, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #114847.

More about me

I absolutely love plants and have a small forest in my home. I enjoy science as a whole but love mechanical engineering in particular. I enjoy crocheting, knitting, sewing, and any crafts in general. I love all animals but in particular I love reptiles and have a rescue snake who is named Sirius, but I call him “bubba'' most of the time. I spend most of my time studying but absolutely love playing video games when I have the chance. I am gender queer and have a genetic chronic condition that has led to me having an invisible disability which has impacted my life significantly.
