In today’s fast-paced world, I believe many of us forget to do one of the most important things in life--take care of ourselves. The more stress there is, the less time we tend to focus on our own needs. This, among all kinds of other factors, can create challenges you might be facing, like changes in your life (or wishing your life was not changing), anxiety, depression, relationship problems, work stress, or other mental health issues. Wherever your starting point is, I will strive to help you get to a place and space in life where you find healthy ways of coping, develop self-compassion, take perspective, let go of unhelpful expectations, and embrace being YOU!
I really enjoy working with people who want to get rid of the barriers to living a healthy, fulfilled life and connect deeply with themselves. I take pride in my work and in my ability to create a
safe, comfortable, non-judgmental space, where anyone can walk in my door and sit down to share whatever it is you may be struggling with.
I truly believe that with happiness comes pain and struggle. The challenge is to not get stuck in the pain, but instead, to allow for it, and find gratitude in all that you do have. I believe there is hope for everyone, and I know from experience that when we change within, our outer world will also change. I also believe one of the most important things in life is love and connection, so let’s get you to a place where you can love and connect to others and to yourself!
Reaching out for help does not mean you’re ‘crazy,’ it simply means you value growth and change and have enough courage to be vulnerable. If you are struggling to make the call, that is normal. I am inspired by those who reach out, take a chance and try something new. I would be honored to help you through your journey of self-discovery to creating a meaningful life. Just call or email today!

EDUCATION and experience
I’ve grown up in the greater Sacramento area and love it here. I completed my Bachelor’s degree at California State University, Chico. While studying psychology, with a minor in family relations, I decided I wanted to expand my worldview, which lead me to studying abroad in San Sebastian, Spain, where I taught English to high school level students and studied Spanish. After months of living abroad, I came home to finish my schooling at Chico and apply for my Master’s degree, which I completed at the University of San Francisco. One reason I chose to apply to USF, was the school’s emphasis on diversity, and I am proud to bring a diverse lens into the work I do with individuals and groups.
Since graduating with my Master’s, I’ve been trained in a substance abuse recovery program and have worked in various hospital settings/clinical settings, where I’ve worked with those who struggle with severe mental illness, bereavement, work stress issues, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, and those who just need someone to talk to in individual and group settings.
more ABOUT Me
I have a passion for travelling, whether that be an hour and a half to the beach or across the world to another country. I thrive when I am around people who I love and cherish. I love to have dance parties in my living room to cut loose and get exercise on the days I miss the gym. I enjoy challenging myself by trying new things. I have two dogs, who drive me crazy, but I love and adore them anyway. I love being outside hiking, biking or swimming in the summer. I absolutely love playing games and always have at least one game handy for whoever is down for some fun! I have my own experience with seeking therapy and beginning my own therapeutic process, where I came to a place of acceptance and love for myself, instead of holding back parts of myself out of fear. This is when I learned to find peace within myself. It is a gift no one can take from me, and I would be honored to work with you to help you achieve the same!
